Tele Circuit Local Plans are available in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

What’s Lifeline and how Tele Circuit can help me?

Lifeline phone service is a program offered thru the Federal Government and allows people that meet certain requirements to get basic home telephone service at a special rate.

Tele Circuit is offering a Lifeline package at a discounted rate for customer who qualifies for this service.

How do I qualify?

It’s really simple. You need to meet on of the following criteria.

You are participating in one of the following programs

  • Medicaid EBT/Food Stamps
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
  • The National School Lunch Programs Free Lunch Program

If you are not participating in one of the previously mentioned programs you can still qualify if you live in a household with an income that does not exceed 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Documentation necessary for enrolment

Income-based eligibility

  • Provide one of the following forms of documentation showing annual household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines:**
  • Prior year’s state, federal, or Tribal tax return
  • Current income statement from an employer or pay check stub (3 consecutive months)
  • A Social Security statement of benefits
  • A Veterans Administration statement of benefits
  • A retirement/pension statement of benefits
  • An Unemployment/Workers’ Compensation statement of benefit
  • Federal or Tribal notice letter of participation in General Assistance
  • A divorce decree, child support award, or other official document containing income information

**If documentation of income does not cover a full year, such as current pay stubs, you must present the same type of documentation covering three consecutive months within the previous twelve months.

Program-based eligibility

Provide documentation showing that you or a member of your household receives benefits from one of the following federal assistance programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
  • National School Lunch Program’s free lunch program
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families; or any other programs that meet eligibility criteria established by a state for its residents

*Lifeline is a government benefit program. *To qualify for a Lifeline Plan: (1) only eligible consumers may enrol in the program; (2) the program is limited to one benefit per household, consisting of either wireline or wireless service; (3) consumers who wilfully make false statements in order to obtain the benefit can be punished by fine or imprisonment or can be barred from the program.
